The Realtors of Antique Properties are all experienced real estate agents but more importantly, they are all experienced old house people. Dave Johnston has owned 8 such houses which are the houses shown on the Antique Properities home page. Glenn Cockrell lives in the house in which he was born on the Northern Neck.

Because of our specialities, we maintain lists of qualified attorneys, appraisers, restorers and house inspectors. Because of the uniqueness of buying an historic property and waterfront, not everyone is experienced sufficently in the process.

All our listings require a minimum of 24 hours notice before showing. Many are large houses and many Sellers are older; consequently, they need more time to prepare than others. The more notice we have, the better since we tend to be very busy. Many of our listings are country properties and often are more than an hour's drive from our homes or offices and we must be at each and every showing. Additionally, many historic properties do not have lock boxes on them so we must call each owner or their agent in order to make an appointment.

We do not encourage drivebys since many of our properties are far off the road and/or do not have signs on them. We ask all our customers to honor the Seller's privacy since not doing so is treaspassing, a criminal offense. Besides, we can save you an extra trip by just meeting you at the property.

We are out showing or with our families on weekends but we do monitor our phones. We do not normally show on Sundays . Generally we are not accessible between the hours of 8 PM to 7 AM. Do not hesitate to leave a message in voice mail. We do return our calls.
